A Newark-based company that transports Formula One cars across the globe is proud of its reputation being built on “experience, expertise and trust”.
With more than 25 years of business, the International Logistics Centre — located just off the A46 Farndon roundabout — has grown to be one of the area’s most successful ventures.
The family-run business, started by chairman Andrew Morris, focuses on transportation, shipping, export packing, warehousing and storage.
The business first started transporting F1 cars in October 2012, with a Camel car being taken to Azerbaijan to take part in the City Challenge Baku — the first international motor race in the history of the country.
For the last 14 years, the Newark centre has transported cars such as a McLaren Solus and a DS Virgin Racing Formula E.
International Logistics Centre also deals with a range of car kits, which are exported worldwide.
“With our business owner being a lifelong car enthusiast, projects like these are particularly rewarding, but for us they receive the same care and attention as every shipment that passes through our facility,” said Emma Clarkson, the business and development manager.

“When we do take a step back and reflect, it highlights just how far the reach of a Newark-based business can extend.
“It’s not something that happens every day for a small and medium-sized enterprise of our size, and we’re incredibly proud to play a role in moving valuable and prestigious vehicles around the world.”
Emma said the business’ reputation has been “built on experience, expertise and trust”, with some members of the team working in the industry for more than 30 years.
The company has recently manufactured the new Icon Auto Vault for the owner of the McLaren GT Solus — it has been designed specifically to display, store and transport the car.
The vault has been engineered with wheels underneath to allow the car to be trailered out of the shipping container.
With an international customer base, the business prides itself on the fact that a lot of its closest industry relationships are centred around Silverstone, the heart of British motorsport.
From historic and exhibition vehicles to modern race cars, International Logistics Centre has helped the vehicles reach destinations across the UK and around the world.
Emma added: “What we’re most proud of is that these relationships have been built through reputation and trust.
“When you’re handling vehicles that are not only valuable but often unique and irreplaceable, customers need complete confidence in the people looking after them.

The export company also ships small, delicate items such as antique grandfather clocks, fibreglass horses, life-saving medical machines, flare tips, and pipes for the oil and gas industry.
It specialises in heavy machinery and has the heaviest lifting capacity in the Midlands — and one of the heaviest in the country — at 50 tonnes.
At the beginning of the month, the company hosted an open afternoon at its premises, where businesses and charities got the chance to network — with a special F1 car display.
Racing driver Lorina McLaughlin carried out a demonstration run in an ex-Michael Schumacher Benetton B192-08 Formula One vehicle, which she now competes in.
The vehicle joined a Lotus 102 Formula One car owned by company founder Mr Morris, showing the business’s F1 connections and passion.
